Freedom of Information Act
What is FOIA?
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.,
is a State Statute providing for public access to government records and information. The Act allows for the inspection of records maintained by the Village of Thomasboro and other public bodies.
The Act also provides for exemptions of certain secure information.
The Village will respond to your request
within five business days of receipt of the request.
Commercial requests, however, may take up to 21 business days.
You have the right to appeal any denial to the
