Village Soliciting Resumes for Chief of Police

The Village of Thomasboro is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Chief of Police.  All candidates must be a certified police officer in the State of Illinois, possess valid driver’s license, and pass all applicable background checks.  Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of law enforcement experience, including supervisory or administrative experience, and associates degree or higher education.  A full listing of qualifications and job description is available below.

The starting salary range for the position will be $40,000 to $50,000, depending on qualifications and experience.  Benefit package includes health insurance reimbursement, paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, and 401(k) retirement plan with up to 6% employer matching contribution.  Possible relocation, subject to negotiation.
