The Thomasboro Police Department would like to remind all residents that the Village’s snow route ordinance goes into effect after any snowfall of 2 or more inches. When snow routes are in effect, there is no parking permitted on any streets or alleys within the Village. This allows for street crews to more efficiently clear all roadways of snow for safer travel. Please see the memo on snow routes from Chief Rea below for more information.

Over the last several months, the Village Board has researched the possibility of entering into an agreement with a single trash collection company to service all residential customers in the Village of Thomasboro. After soliciting bids from several area companies, the Board has now contracted with Republic Services for all residential trash collection beginning October 1, 2016. The first pickup date will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
The charge for trash collection will now be included as an additional line item on your Village water bill each month. Republic will be delivering containers to each residence during the week of September 26th. Please note that all containers will now need to be placed on the street side of your property for curbside pickup, as Republic is using specialized trucks that are unable to travel the alleys.
It will be the responsibility of each resident to contact your current trash hauler to cancel your service and to request a refund for any services that may have already been paid.
For questions about the new service, please contact Republic Services at (217) 554-7007 or by email to Thomasboro@republicservices.com, or call Village Hall at 643-2675.
In an effort to improve customer service, the Village of Thomasboro announces that residents will now be able to pay water and sewer bills using credit or debit card through the secure Illinois E-Pay online site. Payments may be made using MasterCard, Discover, or American Express; however, Visa is not being accepted at this time.
To use the E-pay system, customers will need to enter their 8-digit water account number found in the upper left corner of the water and sewer bill card (e.g. 100100.10). If you do not have your bill available or need to verify the balance due, please contact the Water Department at 643-2675. Please note that credit or debit card payments can only be made using the E-pay site; the Village is not able to accept cards in person.
